CHILDREN'S DAY

Children are the stars of today and the future leaders of tomorrow. Children are the most priceless asset for a couple. A home is incomplete without the presence of cute, cuddly, innocent and sweet children. The presence of children at home adds great pleasure and positive vibes in our daily lives.

If you could ask me what is the best part of my life?  I would say that my childhood days were the most precious, nostalgic and beautiful part of my life and am proud to say that I had the best childhood ever. I Am desperately looking for a time machine which would take me back to my childhood days.

Hi friends am back to blogging and today my blog is about children’s day.

Children’s day: Every school going kid eagerly wait for this unforgettable day during the month of November. Children’s day in India is celebrated on the 14th of November every year which is actually the birthday of our former Prime Minister Pandit. Jawaharlal Nehru who is affectionately called as “Chacha Nehru” for his love for children.

But officially children’s day is on the 20th of November and it was during that day the United Nations had adopted the declaration rights for children.

It is during 14th November children’s day is celebrated with much pomp at schools with lots of games, competitions and prize distribution. Children are also pampered by their parents by planning a trip with their children to their favourite malls and restaurants.

But there is a misconception that children’s day is a one day affair. It is not a one day affair and there is more to celebrate children’s day other than the customary celebrations.

Right here in this blog we shall discuss the below

1)     Tips for celebrating children’s day on a daily basis

2)     Steps to be taken to celebrate children’s day in a much better way.

Not all children are fond of gifts and not all can be bribed by gifts. There are children who long, crave for parental love, affection and involvement. There is a drastic change today on child upbringing when compared to earlier days.

Today’s parents being involved on the rat race have no or less time for children. Working parents leave their children alone at home or with maids. Children growing up with busy parents become neglected and this negligence results in having huge negative impact on children where they are prone to getting in to bad company or performing poorly in academics.

Tips for celebrating children’s day on a daily basis (TIP 1)

Working parents should keep a check on their children and should try to spend at least an hour chatting and listening to them patiently.

Parents should regularly have dinner table discussions with their children. A productive, hilarious, enthusiastic conversation is a must. During the course of discussion parents are requested to keep their cell phones away and try to pay utmost attention to their children as much as possible.

Parents should read bedtime stories to children until a certain age as and when possible.

Children upon receiving the above from parents become extremely happy as they had received the much needed attention, response and love that they have craved for.

TIP 2

Gone were the days where children used to play outdoor games happily with their friends. With the sudden technological revolution children are totally addicted to games in their smartphones, playstation and other gadgets and have lost total interest to play outside. Playing outdoor games are not only confined to schools but also applicable at homes.

Children should be encouraged to play outside and make new friends. Upon doing so children get to interact with others and learn the art of verbal communication. Children when allowed to play outside become fit, energetic and happy physically and mentally.

Children’s day is all about children’s happiness. Anything that makes children happy on a daily basis is considered as children’s day.

Let us discuss the better ways to celebrate children’s day.

When one section of children celebrate children’s day huge celebrations.  one section of children crave for a day to be pampered.

Children’s day is not only for the fortunate but also for the unfortunate children. There are no doubts about the efforts taken by NGOs to make children’s day a special occasion to the unfortunate children. But we as responsible citizens should also contribute on extending a helping hand to make it big to the unfortunate children.

1)     Schools apart from following a customary celebration should plan a trip to the missionaries, orphanages and organize more events at their premises and also encourage children from the missionaries and orphanages to participate on the same. Upon doing so children understand that happiness is something that is to be shared with everybody and extending our contribution in making others happy is real happiness.

Schools if possible should try to collect minimal funds from children and should try to sponsor a meal to the unfortunate children on children’s day.

Schools and parents should inculcate the habit of donating old clothes and toys to the unfortunate children. What seems old and useless to us is new and useful to them.

Parents should also plan a trip to the orphanages with their children to make them understand the art of living with minimal comforts.

Every year on children’s day new habits should be taught to children and should ensure that it is inculcated and followed for a lifetime.

GOOD HABITS TO BE TAUGHT TO CHILDREN

THE ART OF SAVING MONEY

“Money speaks one language you save me today and I shall save you tomorrow”

The art of saving money should be taught from a very young age .Parents should ensure that pocket money provided to children are put into good use.

Parents should initially teach fireless cooking to children and gradually move the ladder of teaching them basic cooking for survival.

Parents should teach basic household chores to children upon doing so the attitude to help their mothers, sisters and partners starts from a very young age.

My dear new found friends and fellow bloggers each and every child is special and have their right to live happily in this world and achieve their dreams. We as matured and responsible citizens should try to take the necessary steps to ensure that the dream of every child is fulfilled.
